Deepavali was a blast! (The pictures)

Deepavali was combined with Rajyotsava and Children's Day celebration to bring a blast to over 270 Wisconsin Kannadigas on 15th Nov 2008 at the Hindu Temple of Wisconsin.

For the first time, authentic karnataka dinner of akki rotti, pakoda, chutney, along with kosambari, drakshi gojju, saaru, potato raita tomato rice and mosranna was served prior to the entertainment.

Various entertainment were performed by children and adults with great enthusiasm and energy. Highlights were dance by Spurthi, Bharatanatyam by Natyarparana and dance by Samik Partha followed by a dance by Sarala and team followed by the drama "Kharo Khara". How did you like the show?

In addition to the entertainment, the Milana committee presented the Proposed Milana charter Bye laws and the Annual report. Prof Laxmankumar Sanellappanavar was honored for with the Kannada Rajyotsava award for his selfless contribution to our community.
