Deepavali Banthu. Happy Deepavali - ದೀಪಾವಳಿಯ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳು.

We will be celebrating our Deepavali function on Nov 15th at 5:30 pm. The format is changed. Dinner first and entertainment later. Dinner will be served between 6:30 and 7:30 pm. We have an interesting play performed by a Chicago group 'Shikara'. Please watch for the eVite and the flyer in the next 2 weeks.

This event is dedicated to the children of Milana.. the second generation and our hope for the future. We want all the kids on stage!

Let us all dress in Indian clothes, especially the kids. Ladies, come in your finest.

Due to an overwhelming response from our members, we have a packed program and the entertainment will start at 6:30 pm. Please come early to avoid any dissappointment.

Milana offers Community Service hours for High School or College students for voluntary work done during community events. For more details contact Milanaonline@gmail.com. Volunteers can help with setting up tables and chairs or helping out at the kitchen, etc.

The committee will be proposing the charter and the Constitution of the Milana for your approval. This is the first step before we register as a non-profit organization. The agenda includes Financial report for 2008.

Watch for the eVite and respond immediately. Sumptuous menu prepared by committee & volunteers. Event fee structure has changed. Late fees applies for late RSVP. Event fees for accompanied guests (friends) is $10 per person and for un-accompanied guests (suddenly show up) is $15 per person
